Aileen and Maron’s wedding was filled with sentimental moments, loads of fun and laughter and a charming ceremony setup that couldn’t have been more perfect.

Aileen had her hair and make-up done in the dedicated bridal suite with her cute flower girl watching and perhaps she imagined it would be her one day. Aileen’s mother and bridesmaids helped her get dressed. For her bridal gown, Aileen selected a classic fitted strapless gown that was stylish and timeless. She wore an elegant half updo with flowers in her hair and a long veil. For a splash of color, her bouquet was deep purple and pink roses.

Meanwhile, the groom was getting ready with his main man, the ring bearer, who had a very cool hairstyle, especially for the wedding. Getting children involved in the wedding really creates wonderful childhood memories for them that they will remember forever. The groom wore a black suit with a bow tie and buttonhole and looked very smart.

At The Manor, they set up a marquee with luxurious draping for guests to sit under while the ceremony is outside between two trees overlooking the lake. It’s a pretty and scenic spot for the ceremony and one of the venue’s features that drew the couple to have their wedding there. The reception setup includes glamorous linens, crystal chandeliers and an elegant white sofa for the couple to sit on during dinner so they can stay as close to each other as possible.

The bride’s parents had the honor of walking her down the aisle and giving her away. It was a moving ceremony with a lot of laughter and a few tears. Aileen and Maron exchanged rings and vows, then the officiant blessed their marriage and announced them as man and wife. They kissed and everyone cheered their love and approval.

We took the family portraits then went away for bridal party photos to some scenic areas of The Manor, including a rustic pagoda overlooking the water.

Seeing lighting there, we made a note to return in the evening for some pretty nighttime shots. Your Toronto wedding photographer always has a shoot plan firmly laid out before the day, but sometimes there are creative discoveries to be made during the day. Those unexpected moments that just can’t be planned ahead of time often turn out to be remarkable.

At the wedding reception, everyone gave the couple a loud and warm welcome back. The evening of celebrations kicked off with the couple’s first dance and then they cut their fabulous multi-tiered cake and fed each other as tradition goes. After dinner, more dancing and some fun wedding games went down and everyone had a wonderful time.

If you recently had a ring put on your finger, this Toronto wedding photographer would love to hear the story behind the proposal. Drop us a line and let’s talk all about your wedding!
