\We love couples who roll two ceremonies into one day. It’s always a high-paced day that runs on the excitement of pure love and happy energy. Ann and Man planned a traditional Vietnamese wedding followed by a Western wedding and reception.
For the Vietnamese wedding, the bride wore a beautiful red ao dai and traditional headpiece. Her proud parents and her side of the bridal party were by her side, looking fabulous and excited for the ceremony.
The groom’s side arrived in a traditional procession and outside the house they presented flowers, food, drinks and gifts. The offerings were gratefully accepted and Man was allowed to greet his stunning bride Ann. Your Vietnamese wedding photographer Toronto loves this festive part of the wedding day when the mood is celebratory and joyous.
The ceremony started with a ring exchange, candle ritual and prayers to ancestors in front of the family altar. The couple was formally joined together as man and wife and it was an emotional and loving moment with a few tears shed by the bride and family members. Outside we took family formal portraits and then it was time to get ready for the Western wedding.
Ann looked exqusitie in her white off-the-shoulder dress with her hair in a low bun and curls framing her face. It was an elegant and sophisticated look and a complete transformation from the Vietnamese look, which was equally gorgeous. Her bridesmaids wore deep blue dresses to match the groom’s dark navy suit.
We traveled to one of our favorite wedding photography spots, Guildwood Park for the first look. The weather was perfect for a romantic couple photoshoot. Man was blown away by the beauty of his bride for the second time in a day. We captured some romantic and intimate couple photos in the gardens with historical architectural features, including the wonderful archway with a rustic brick wall. The bridal party joined in for some candid wedding photography and fun times.
We headed back to the Guild Inn Estate for the reception. This venue was once an artist’s colony and is a stunning hideaway in Scarborough in Ontario. They host many weddings and events, so it’s always decorated so beautifully and the service is outstanding. The couple went with a soft pink and white color palette with gold accents for the wedding reception. A feature was the triple-tiered wedding cake with flowers and gold painted decoration.
Guests were treated to a fantastic dinner and the night was full of speeches, dancing and high-energy celebrating. The bride changed her wedding dress for a fitted white gown that was easier to dance in. The men threw the groom high into the air, one lucky lady caught the bride’s bouquet and there was even a conga line at one point.
