Stephanie & Joshua’s Wedding Day | Focus Photography at Montecassino Event Space

Before their wedding date, Stephanie approached me to be her photographer for the bridal shower party, which I happily obliged. Once she sent over all the details, I arrived as soon as I could. Guests were already sitting at their assigned tables and the venue looked so adorable with the blue and yellow-colored decorations. There was a Vespa as well in front, I was sure that a lot of guests would want to take a picture with it.

While everyone was mingling and congratulating Stephanie, I took the time to snap some photos of the trays of food set up and served. Everything looked so delicious! To start the program of the shower, so many of her friends and family went up to give speeches about how much Stephanie meant to them, and how happy they were for her to spend the rest of her life with Joshua.

Once all of the speeches were said, each of the guests wanted to have a photo op with Stephanie. Some of them even handed personal gifts to the bride-to-be. And Stephanie accepted all of it with a big, gracious smile!

Then came the actual wedding day! I was so excited to work with Stephanie and Joshua again. They had been so receptive to their previous photoshoots. I wanted to make sure that this set of pictures was just as perfect as everything else.

I made sure to wake up bright and early to begin my session with the bride getting ready at her house. Since Joshua opted not to have his pictures taken, I had more time to focus on Stephanie and her family. She was surrounded by so much love from them, and it really warmed my heart to see how well Stephanie interacted with everyone around her. Especially the two kids who posed with her in sunglasses!

How adorable is that? And the pair really reminded me of Stephanie and Joshua on their engagement photoshoot!

Then, Stephanie wanted me to have a close-up picture of her bouquet. It was so gorgeous, and pinned on it was a picture of her mom. It came with a blue pendant, which I believed was supposed to symbolize the “something blue”. I love when couples honor these kinds of traditions for their wedding.

Once I was done documenting everything at Stephanie’s house, we transferred to the Timeless Tree Studios where Joshua was waiting with all of his groomsmen. But before they had their pictures with everybody else, Stephanie and Joshua wanted to do their “first look” moment somewhere more private.

Joshua looked so speechless. His soon-to-be wife was obviously very stunning in her wedding gown!

Then, after sharing their first looks with each other, we moved to a bigger room with pristine white walls. Everyone looked so classy in black. For each photo, I worked quickly to make sure that everybody was visible in the frame, and the kind of angles they had to be facing so that nobody looked awkward or out of place.

Before we ended the session at the studio, I saw this arched window, and thought there was potential with the setting. I had Stephanie and Joshua stand closely to each other with their foreheads touching. And boom! The natural light that streamed through just shone on them so beautifully. It created this array of shadows, that when I edited their pictures post-production, it was just chef’s kiss!

Their wedding ceremony was held at the Montecassino Event Space, and everybody was waiting so excitedly for the couple! Let me tell you, that room was packed completely with their loved ones and closest friends. After Stephanie and Joshua said their vows, and sealed the marriage with a kiss, they walked down the aisle together. And while they did, a particular poster caught my eye.

It had a brief message saying that Stephanie and Joshua made a donation to the Campfire Circle, which is a nonprofit organization supporting those who have been affected by childhood cancer or serious illness.

This really opened my eyes and showed that while Stephanie and Joshua had so much love for each other, they were also so open to giving and spreading that love back to others in need. So, Stephanie and Joshua, thank you for being so wonderful and for being so kind. This is in dedication to you and your beautiful hearts
