Diana & Anthony | Focus Photography at The Manor Event Venue

Before the ceremony started, I knew that their wedding was going to be something special. Tinder, you did it again, girl! Because thanks to you, Diana and Anthony finally tied the knot, and I was lucky enough to capture it all.

Since being a wedding photographer, I learned that the smallest details tell the biggest stories. For Anthony, it was his customized suit. The inside of his jacket was lined with fabric covered in little soccer balls. It was such a simple thing, but it said so much about him. It felt personal and playful.

Like I always said, it’s not just the bride’s day! The groom deserves to feel like it was his day too, and this one definitely belonged to Anthony.

When I arrived at his house, he was surrounded by his friends and family. Everyone moved around him in this happy, slightly chaotic rhythm that I always observed at other weddings. They were helping him with his tie, fixing his cuffs, and straightening his collar. I tried my best not to get in their way while snapping pictures of him from every angle.

Then, I noticed something pinned inside the pocket of his suit jacket. It was a small photo of his dad. That moment really got me. I made sure to photograph it because it was such a quiet, powerful reminder of love and memory.

When I headed over to Diana’s, the atmosphere was completely different. It was calmer there, and a lot softer. But before I had the chance to even start, I saw the most adorable thing: a dog wearing a tiny suit! I swear, I almost laughed out loud. Weddings always came first in things I love, but dogs were a close second.

And dogs in suits? A worthy contender for #1, honestly.

Diana’s golden retriever looked so proud too, like it knew they were part of something big. Of course, I had to get photos of this dashing and handsome golden retriever!

Diana looked absolutely radiant. Her hair was half-up, half-down, with loose waves that looked so effortlessly done. Her gown was fitted and silk, with delicate buttons trailing down the backside. I took my time with her portraits, wanting to capture that mix of excitement and calm before she saw Anthony.

And when they did their first look, it was one of those moments that made me grateful for what I do. Anthony turned around, and for a few seconds, he just stared at her. No words, no movement. Then he reached for her hands, and I stayed as quiet as I could, clicking away while trying not to disrupt the rawness and authenticity of the moment.

Before the ceremony, they chose to do their family portraits first, which I thought was a smart move. This meant they could enjoy the rest of the day without rushing to entertain all of their guests. But the ceremony itself was beautiful. There was a small altar with framed photos of their parents’ weddings, which I thought was such a meaningful touch.

When they lit the candles to honor them, everyone fell silent. I took a step back and framed the shot carefully. The glow from the candles, the emotion in their faces… it all came together perfectly.

Weddings like this reminded me why I loved being behind the camera. It wasn’t just about the big moments but also the quiet ones. Diana and Anthony’s day was full of both: the laughter, the emotion, and the love that connected everyone there.

To Diana and Anthony, thank you for letting me be a part of your story. Your wedding was a joy to photograph, and I wish you both a lifetime of love that only gets stronger and stronger with each passing day.
