Michelle & Matt | Focus Photography on their Wedding Day at Casa Loma

On May 30, 2025, Michelle and Matt finally tied the knot and both said yes to forever with each other. And everything about their wedding felt so magical, like straight out of a fairytale. I mean, don’t get me started on how they met for the first time? Michelle and Matt went out separately with their friends, and her maid of honor pushed her in Matt’s directions, and sparks just flew as they spoke for the first time.

Until May 30, 2025, destiny continues to follow Michelle and Matt in their journey. And on that particular day, they finally tied the knot, and said yes to a lifetime of loving each other. As I materialized every memory with a picture, I kept thinking how their wedding came straight from a fairytale. I mean, don’t even get me started on the day Michelle and Matt first met?

Michelle and Matt went out clubbing in their separate group of friends, and whatever possessed her to do so, but Michelle’s friend (and her maid of honor at the wedding) pushed her into the direction and arms of Matt. From there, immediate sparks, and it was an instant connection!

Here they were… proving to us that cupid works overtime, and that love at first sight is real but for it to work, you would have to look hard enough, and to actually know what you should be looking for exactly.

And the rest is history! Since then, Michelle and Matt have been very much in love. To photograph their wedding, it is truly a privilege and a luxury. Every opportunity always means that I will be up-close and personal with every version of love life has to offer. And they believed very much in me and in my capacity to be able to bring their vision to life, while prioritizing the sanctity behind every memory as it becomes encased in either a digital file or a physical picture.

I arrived at Casa Loma to photograph how Michelle and Matt got prepared for the big day. Immediately, I was blown away by how stunning Michelle looked in person, and I wanted nothing more than to be able to see the natural beauty that Michelle possessed in her pictures. Michelle and I agreed to have her photoshoot in various locations. For some of the shots, I had her pose by the windows, and outside the halls.

Wherever she posed, she looked like an angel, especially once she wore her a-line gown with a crinoline skirt.

Then, I hopped over to the hotel suite where Matt was staying. We initially discussed how he didn’t want anything too much with his photos. Instead, he wanted it to be more extravagant when it came to his bride. And so, for his photoshoot, I mainly had him stand by the window and smile at the camera now and then while he got dressed for the ceremony.

Once I got the “ok” from both the bride and groom, we moved to the garden area of the Casa Loma where Michelle and Matt shared their first looks with each other. As they turned around, their faces instantly brightened up. And at that moment, it looked to be love at forever sight. I loved how their faces just turned rightside up the instant they saw each other. It was pretty amazing to say the least!

Being a wedding photographer, this gives me the greatest honor of always having a first-hand experience, and being a first-hand witness to all the glorious moments that not all guests get a preview to. It’s like getting a VVVVVIP at a very special occasion. And this is why I take my job seriously, not for the sole reason of me being obsessed with love (because I totally am), but I love being able to take all of these important moments and being able to share those with others and have them feel the same feelings that I felt when taking them.

It is definitely amazing how my job never fails to remind me how lucky and fortunate I am to be surrounded by the goodness of love, and to be able to see the kind of power love holds over the world.

And so… Michelle and Matt, thank you for your endless trust, and for making me realize how love is always something that should be shared, whether to another person or in picture-form.
