Sonya & Stanley | A Pastel-Dream Wedding at Château Le Parc

There’s nothing more precious than the knowledge that you’re with someone who’s just the most compatible with you. A companion with whom you can be your whole self, without any reservation whatsoever.

It’s beautiful.

And it’s one of the destinations we wish to go to in life.

Sonya and Stanley are among the lucky ones who have reached that destination.

From the very first moment of Sonya and Stanley’s wedding, I could tell with perfect clarity that it would be a day overflowing with laughter, color, and heart.

The energy inside was unmatched. You’d wish you were a part of their tight-knit family!

The space was filled with teasing, excitement, and the playful spirit and beauty of tradition.

Their morning began with games, where Stanley faced lighthearted challenges set by those that were celebrating their union with them. It was all joy and mischief, punctuated by the sound of cheering family members.

What followed right after that…very hyper-inducing moment was the tender calm of the tea ceremony, where both of the families gathered close as Sonya and Stanley knelt together, offering tea to their elders and receiving blessings that carried deep meaning within their loved ones and as two people that are soon to join hands for the rest of their lives.

It was a perfect reflection of their roots—it was playful and sweet, balanced by love and gratitude.

When the day rolled by, the celebration shifted to the elegant gardens of Château Le Parc in Concord. The golden light that was spilled across the terrace was there to highlight the cascade of pink, lavender, and blue blooms that framed the aisle.

Stanley stood waiting for his first look at his most beautiful bride, his nerves and excitement visible. 

Suddenly…

Laughter erupted—as his groomsman appeared in a wedding gown and veil, completely stealing the moment in the best way possible!

And you know what? It warms my heart when the people around that love you the most will always know how to bring smiles to your faces. It was such a sight to see because they were all participating in making the day much more memorable.

The laughter then softened into quiet awe when Sonya stepped forward in her actual gown, radiant against the pastel backdrop. The instant Stanley turned and saw her, his entire expression changed—his eyes filled, and the world around them fell away into the background. It was that kind of real, unguarded emotion that reminds you why weddings are so magical.

It gives a gentle reminder of the beauty that is in two people who are so ready to show the world that they’re IT for each other.

The ceremony of these two was nothing short of breathtaking, I tell you.

Under a crescent arch bursting with roses, peonies, and hydrangeas in their chosen palette of soft pastels, Sonya and Stanley exchanged their vows that had every guest smiling through…alongside the endless tears that might also have come from my eyes.

That exact moment when Stanley saw Sonya walking toward him on her father’s arm, it was so heartwarming to see when he couldn’t hide the emotion that swam through his eyes.

It was a moment of pure sincerity, mirrored in Sonya’s own laughter and gentle composure as they finally met at the altar. Every vow that they spoke to one another felt like an echo of the years they had already shared, from their cute days as high-school classmates that passed each other in the hallways to the quiet proposal that brought them to this very moment.

As evening approached, what had once been filled with sunlight now glowed under the warm and beautiful chandeliers, alongside twinkling orbs that were suspended from towering cherry-blossom trees that resembled the colors and ambiance of their proposal.

It was all just grand elegance with warmth of love and softness with intricate structure.

AND don’t even get me started with the tiny honey jar labeled “Thank you for bee-ing” that can be clearly seen on the individual plates where the guests sat.

The light and magic of the evening unfolded like a celebration of all the things that make Sonya and Stanley who they are. Speeches from around the room were delivered, and it was all heartfelt and humorous, weaving together stories of friendship, faith, and family.

Then came the dances!

I was obsessed. It’s not every day you witness a wedding that everyone participates in so happily and dedicatedly. And the performances were choreographed with so much joy that the room pulsed with this happy energy.

The bridal party performed, the groomsmen answered back, and finally, Sonya and Stanley took the floor for their very own performance that had everyone cheering and just thawing.

Every movement, every laugh, carried the same spirit that had followed them from the morning—one of connection, playfulness, and love that feels bigger than words.

As the night drew to a close, I got to watch them get surrounded by their friends and family. And it was all so heartwarming, to say the least. From the cultural rituals that honored their roots to the space that reflected their whole personalities, every detail of Sonya and Stanley’s day was a testament to how love grows—playful, resilient, and endlessly beautiful.

It’s all magic and fate, isn’t it?

Now, years later, that same spark turned into a lifetime. And standing there beneath the blossoms of Château Le Parc, it was impossible not to feel that this—this laughter, these tears, this joy—was exactly where they were always meant to be!
