About This Project

Humber Arboretum Engagement Photography

The holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year are some of the most

sought after celebrations that we’re looking forward every year. Aside from the mainstream

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year, what are the other events that you want to celebrate? If

you will ask me the same question, my answer will definitely be a wedding celebration. Unlike

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year which happens every year, a wedding celebration is an

event that happens only once in a lifetime. Aside from that, the wedding is one of the few events

that will get everyone’s attention. The preparation and planning for a wedding can last for weeks

and months depending on the couple’s preference.

Truly, I believe that the wedding events are a fun and exciting event that starts with the

engagement of the couple. Aside from the wedding event itself, the other elements in a wedding

such as the bridal gown, the bridesmaids’ attire, the outfit of the groom and groomsmen, the

theme and motif used in the reception, the foods and drinks served in the event, and the photos

and video footages taken during the wedding are some of the things I look forward to.

Joanna and Lawrence haven’t been at the stage of exchanging “I do” and wedding vows.

But, they are very near to that stage. That’s the main reason why they chose to have an

engagement wedding photo shoot to celebrate their engagement and commitment to love and be

with each other forever. The moment that I saw the photos taken during the engagement photo

shoot of Joanna and Lawrence, I immediately felt that there is a story of love behind every pose.

This Asian couple takes engagement photo shoot to a whole new level. To tell you frankly,

Joanna and Lawrence’s engagement photo shoot is something you should long for. The photos

taken during the engagement photo shoot radiates the positivity of love and care for each other.

Humber Arboretum: The Best Location for a Romantic Engagement Photo Shoot

Joanna and Lawrence chose the Humber Arboretum that is located at the Humber

College’s North campus in 205 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. The

administration of the Humber Arboretum partnered with Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources

to protect and conserve the endangered butternut trees which originated in Southern Ontario,

Quebec, and New Brunswick. As a result, the Humber Arboretum turned into the butternut trees

haven in Ontario. Aside from the butternut trees around the Humber Arboretum, there are other

types of trees and flowering plants growing in the fields of the area.

The Humber Arboretum is a destination surrounded by botanical gardens and the

magnificent Humber River. The Humber Arboretum is picturesque on its own. The whole

landscape of Humber Arboretum serves as a picnic ground for the students and families who

want to enjoy the beauty of the destination. In addition, the Humber Arboretum is a great

location for different photo shoots. That’s the main reason why I didn’t even have to question

why a couple like Joanna and Lawrence would choose such a nice place. What I have for this

lovely couple is praises for choosing such an excellent location for their engagement photo

shoot. They started their wedding plans on a right track by choosing the best and most suitable

location for the engagement photo shoot.

Joanna and Lawrence’s Intimate Engagement Photo Shoot Theme

Joanna and Lawrence agreed to have a simple theme and motif for their engagement

photo shoot. They don’t even have to use fancy props to make their engagement photo shoot

look good. The only props they used are a bundle of colorful balloons, a bouquet of beautiful

flowers, and a letter (J for Joanna and L for Lawrence) standee covered with luscious green

grass. Joanna and Lawrence chose limited props to ensure that they will be the main attraction in

their engagement photo shoot.

Since the couple chose a simple theme and motif, the surroundings in the Humber

Arboretum helped a lot to make the photos look brilliantly gorgeous and dazzling. Without a

doubt, Joanna and Lawrence made the best decision of choosing the Humber Arboretum to

improve the overall appearance of the photos.

Joanna and Lawrence’s Outfit and Look of the Day

When it comes to Joanna and Lawrence’s outfit, they wore simple clothes. Joanna wore a

royal blue cocktail dress with sweetheart designs paired with her all-time favorite pair of maroon

pointy heels. To complete her overall outfit, Joanna wore a statement necklace to polish her look.

Joanna is naturally flawless and beautiful. That’s the main reason why she chose to have the “Au

natural” makeup look while letting her hair accentuate her true beauty. Her beautiful smile can

lighten up the mood of everyone who will see her beauty and grace.

On the other hand, Lawrence simply chose a plaid long sleeve with pastel colors. He

paired his trendy plaid long sleeve with the tailored gray trousers which shows his manly built.

Of course, to ensure that he will look polish in front of the camera, Lawrence paired his outfit

with the classic black shoes that bring out the inner gentleman in him. With this kind of fashion

style in mind, I can also conclude that Joanna and Lawrence are both fashion lovers by heart.

The Aura of Love and Happiness Never Stops

Joanna and Lawrence roam around the Humber Arboretum. They enjoyed the plants and

flowers in the botanical gardens. The scenic views in the Humber Arboretum have the ability to

make the whole photo shoot look so much better. In addition, there are other areas in the Humber

Arboretum that works great as a photo backdrop. They also take a dip in the Humber River and

its clean and clear waters. The fresh breeze of air in the Humber Arboretum make Joanna,

Lawrence, and the whole team of Focus Production relaxes the shoot even more.
