Dimitra and Spiro first met each other more than a decade ago, but their path didn’t really cross again until five years ago when Spiro ran into his future bride in downtown Toronto. Their Greek wedding at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is a beautiful testimony to life’s plans and destiny.
“She truly loves me and makes me happy,” Spiro tells our Focus Production videographer.
“We play a lot of little practical jokes, and he makes me laugh every single day,” Dimitra describes her relationship.
The couple choose to go with a traditional Greek wedding at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. The Byzantine-style church, located at Finch and Birchmount in Scarborough, serves the Greek community from across the region. The church’s interior is absolutely breathtaking, with hand-painted features across the ceiling and the walls.
The pews are filled with family members and friends, and the aisles are sprinkled with flower pedals. The ceremony is absolutely serene and majestic.
The bride looks gorgeous in a strapless gown with embroideries across the front and a large ribbon tie at the back. The groom sports a wrinkle-less suit. The boutonniere adds a pop of colour.
For the photo shoot, our Focus Production wedding videographer accompanies the couple to a scenic tour at Edwards Gardens, adjacent from Toronto Botanical Garden. Their September wedding is perfect for an outdoor photo shoot.
The couple’s Greek wedding at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church takes on a more glamours tone at the reception. Spirale Banquet and Conference Centre is fully prepped for the occasion. The lively crowd joins the couple for dances and they walk away with sweets with the couple’s initials — a small token from a big night.
