When it comes to picking a season for an engagement photo shoot, winter is not the first word that comes to mind. But Toronto couple Alysia and Frank are feeling adventurous. Our photographer goes on an excursion with them to explore the winter wonderland of High Park.
The beauty of one of Toronto’s most popular parks is all year round. Think the romantic cherry blossom in the spring, the artistic Shakespeare theatre festival in the summer, and the dazzling fall colours in the autumn.
But in winter, the park’s scenery — everything from trees at the Hillside gardens to bridges near Grenadier Pond — are blanketed by fluffy, velvety snow. The snowy canvas acts as the perfect backdrop for a romantic engagement photo shoot.
(Friendly reminder from our Toronto engagement photographer: some city parks require specific permits for professional photo shoot. The permits are issued by the City of Toronto. You can find out more information here. Our Toronto photographer is also happy to answer all your questions. )
Alysia’s cherry red jacket is definitely the star of the show. It adds a pop of colour to the snowy backdrop. Her black leather gloves not only keep her warm, but also add a touch of sophistication to her style. When the flurries fall onto her gently curled, chestnut-coloured hair, our photographer knows it is a picture-perfect moment.
The gentleman sports a stylish black leather jackets. His black leather gloves match the lady’s accessories. With their matching outfits, the pair looks effortlessly charming.
