The rich red and blue tones of Nancy and Justin’s wedding had us swooning. The color palette matched every place we photographed the couple on the day they got married, including the St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and the Terrace Banquet Centre.
It was a busy wedding day that started early with the bride getting ready with her fabulous bridesmaids, who were as excited for the day as the couple was. The bride had prepared personalized coat hangers for bridal party member with their names in calligraphy to hang their deep red dresses on. These matched the florals, including the bride’s bouquet of red and white fresh flowers.
A lot of thought had gone into the intricate wedding stationery and we creatively used the veil as the background to showcase the design and bridal jewelry. Crystal bridal heels matched Nancy’s wedding dress, a fitted designer lace gown that was sheer and delicate. Nancy’s mum helped her add the finishing touches to her bridal ensemble and she looked like a dream.
Off to the church we went and what an amazing place of worship it is. With high white ceilings, red carpet throughout and brown wooden pews, the church interior is an elegant blend of traditional and new.
Everyone stood as the bride entered with her parents, who were both dressed beautifully for the occasion. The bride’s father hugged the groom warmly before taking his seat in the front row. The ceremony was beautiful and filled with sentimental moments, including the highlight as the couple was announced man and wife.
Couple and bridal party photos were taken at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives in the most glorious room. The light was flowering through the enormous arched windows of the historic building. The clean, open white space made for perfect bridal portraits and we got creative with the bride’s long veil with spectacular results.
Then the stairways and exterior of that old building were wonderful too and the newlyweds were smiling and really enjoying their first hours together as a married couple. More striking images were captured at Vellore Heritage Square and then it was time for the reception at the Terrace Banquet Centre.
Someone with a creative eye and some super decorating skills had transformed the hall into a dreamy reception that was elegant with a touch of rustic tones. Your Toronto wedding photographer was impressed. An archway behind the sweetheart table was adorned with red flowers and candles were all around.
The couple wowed the guests with their first dance on the floor with their names monogrammed onto it. After they cut the wedding cake that was looking lush with red flowers and a lovely cake topper, it was time to dance. And they danced the night away and celebrating life, love and all the joys of marriage that Nancy and Justin were destined for.
Nancy and Justin’s wedding day was never a quiet moment. Sometimes we are editing the wedding photos and are amazed at how much is packed into one day. No wonder brides and grooms always say the day goes by in a blur. That is why extensive and detailed wedding photography and videography coverage is so important.
