Sumit & Adiba | A Joyful Hindu Wedding at Markham Convention Centre

When love happens to people, it can be described as color. Everything is just brighter— beautiful in a way that one can never really explain.

Sumit and Adiba represented that to me.

I have never seen such electric people— the kind you couldn’t help but just laugh and vibe with! Everything about that day was rooted in the culture that they have and that through everything that was leading up to the ceremony, they took everyone on a journey of their beautiful traditions.

The morning sun cast a golden glow over the Markham Convention Centre, where the joy of celebration and tradition came alive in this beautiful harmony of color and pure unfiltered joy.

The kind of joy that you will just feel on sight!

The day began with the spirited Baraat, which had been filled with energetic music and happy dances, along with laughter as Sumit arrived surrounded by family and friends, each step echoing pure excitement. The air pulsed with love and heart, and the groom’s energy set the tone for everything that followed on that beautiful and sunny day.

I can’t even tell you just how grand everything looked on the inside!

The ceremony that these two had was magical beyond anything I’ve ever seen.

The design?

GOSH, it was all so unique!

It unfolded beneath a mandap adorned with florals in the vibrant shades of marigold, white, green, and red. Every detail spoke of devotion and togetherness once your eyes set upon the rose-petal-lined aisle.

It was just so beautiful to see the pop of color in every space.

But among all that beauty, none can compare to Sumit and Adiba themselves.

Adiba looked timeless and just incredibly regal in her traditional orange and magenta saree; the intricate henna and gold jewelry that was placed upon her reflected every beam of light that streamed through the halls. I was so unbelievably obsessed!

Sumit himself complemented her so much in his elegant cream sherwani that was adorned with a deep red dupatta. It was such a perfect match in both color and spirit.

I can’t even express how much they just looked so good together; they radiated warm joy, often exchanging soft smiles with one another that just spoke louder than words could ever say.

I will always say it—it’s so special to see different cultures perform on the most important days. 

I was so in awe seeing Sumit and Adiba perform the Saptapadi. It was seven steps together around a sacred fire, accompanied by one vow for each step. All just one beautiful symbol of a fruitful love and a promise of lifelong companionship.

It was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but whisper an “Awww!”

After the ceremony that they had, all of their beloved family and friends had gathered for portraits that captured not just faces, but generations of love and togetherness that you just know would last a lifetime. Laughter filled the space, blending effortlessly with the rhythm of celebration!

You would just wish to be a part of it.

But I assure you, with how open and joyful everyone was, you already were.

Later that day, Sumit and Adiba returned home for the Aeki Beki ritual, officially as husband and wife. The day gently transformed from the bustle of celebration to just this…beautiful and warm intimacy, the kind where the surroundings were just family, petals, and laughter. 

I was so happy getting to witness Sumit and Adiba. And I wish them all the best as they begin their new chapter not just as husband and wife, but also as two souls who had found their rhythm and eternity in one another!
