Aurora has a fun-loving, bubbly personality. You could see it as she tapped Scott on the shoulder for the first look and as she waved at guests as her parents walked her down the aisle. Natural and gorgeous, she was a joy to photograph, as was our dashing groom. These two were having fun all day long on their wedding day.
We started our photography and videography coverage with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto in the downtown area. They were all wearing floral satin bathrobes while their hair and makeup were being done.
For her wedding dress, Aurora went for a modern strapless silhouette with clean lines. It was very chic and stylish and fresh flowers in her hair and a veil completed her look. Her mother was also there to help with the bride’s final touches, including giving her the huge bouquet of peonies.
The groom wore a soft blue suit with designer accessories. He was ready on time for the first look and we found the ideal place outdoors in beautiful. The urban backdrop was modern and stylish. We wonder if some spectators were watching the romantic scene unfold from the high rises surrounding us. If so, our couple were oblivious as they admired each other in their wedding outfits that had been kept a secret from each other until the big day.
At the Knox College Wedding Chapel, candles lined the aisle and flowers were decorating the antique wooden pews. Glorious light flooded the chapel interior that is absolutely a beautiful place of worship and wedding venue.
The ceremony in downtown toronto was gorgeous, and everyone was in awe of the couple exchanging their wedding vows and rings. The bridesmaids looked stunning in dusty rose dresses with white bouquets and the best man and groomsmen stood on the other side in attendance for the joyful ceremony. In the grand chapel, the couple was announced as man and wife and made their first walk as newlyweds back down the aisle with many blessings from their friends and family.
After the ceremony, we took bridal party portraits and couple photos at the University of Toronto, which is a great wedding photoshoot location. The historic brick buildings and wide-open green spaces are timeless and classic for any wedding images. Your Toronto wedding photographer and videographer could happily shoot here all day long.
At the reception in the Shangri-La Museum Room, vases of soft pink and white florals, candles and colored dinnerware decorated each table. The bridal party and couple made their grand entrance, and the dinner was underway.
After speeches, the couple performed a traditional waltz for their first dance, witnessed by the impressed guests. Everyone had a great evening dancing and enjoying each other’s company, especially our lovely bride and groom.
