The mint vintage car, the beautiful little church and the massive floral and candle backdrop behind the newlyweds during dinner – these are just some of the highlights of Sabrina and George’s wedding day that we loved photographing the most. Not to mention the couple themselves. You couldn’t hope to meet a more joyful, relaxed and generous couple than these two.
One look at Sabrina in her wedding dress and the words classic, timeless and exquisite come to mind. Just one glimpse of those bejeweled Badgley Miska bridal heels and it was clear she was a bride with style. We also love her personalized wedding dress hanger from etsy, the best online shop for brides-to-be.
With her hair styled in loose waves, a crystal headpiece and a long veil she was almost ready. Her mother helped her put on her jewelry and the bridal party, including the little flower girl, were all saying how amazing she looked.
That incredible vintage car took everyone to the church where George was waiting with his groomsmen. They looked superb in blue suits with black accents, as did the church full of wedding guests. Everyone stood as the stunning bride entered the church and the ceremony began. What a lovely ceremony that was full of joy and happiness. As a professional Toronto wedding photographer, I see many ceremonies and this one nearly had me tearing up.
The greenery and flowers that made up the altar backdrop were fresh and modern, not what you usually see in a church. It made the whole scene even more uplifting. The newlyweds sealed their marriage with a kiss!
Outside we took bridal party photos on the church steps then went to the University of Toronto for more photos. The grounds there are lovely for photos with historic vine-covered buildings, wide open garden spaces and many interesting architectural features. Sabrina and George are so cute together and were naturally falling into intimate lovey-dovey poses, almost forgetting we were there. The bride’s veil was floating in the wind so nicely and we took so many images that it would be impossible to choose a favorite one.
The reception at Paramount Event Space was a vision of sophisticated elegance. Round tables with high centerpieces and lace linens were lit by soft ambient lighting. The feature was the bridal table for just the couple. A magnificent backdrop of flowers and candles looked so chic and on-trend.
Guests were treated to some fine food and drink, entertaining speeches and a fun night of celebrating on the dancefloor. There was a lot of dancing with breaks only for the couple to cut their triple-tiered naked wedding cake and do their first dance. It was a night to remember for everyone, especially Sabrina and George.
