Katrina and Sina are officially married! Their wedding day was a beautiful and intimate celebration of love, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The photos took place at the stunning Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, followed by the reception at the Northshore Room in Pearle Hotel & Spa.
The couple had a clear vision for their special day – classic, timeless, elegant, natural, and genuine. They wanted a mix of candid and directed photos to capture all the beautiful moments, including family photos, couple photos, and bridal party photos. The wedding style was not too cheesy or over-the-top, but still a lot of fun!
One unique aspect of their wedding was the Persian traditional sofreh table, which was incorporated into the ceremony. The ceremony began in a typical western/Christian style, but after exchanging rings, they walked behind the sofreh for a Persian traditional component. This included signing papers, sugar-crushing, and feeding each other honey. The sofreh table cloth had special meaning as it belonged to Sina’s grandmother, who recently passed away.
The floral arrangements were beautiful, with shades of cream and pink. They were found at the bridal party, each table, and a floral hoop behind the sofreh and head table. The photos taken behind the sofreh were especially memorable and heartfelt.
Katrina looked stunning in her classic wedding dress with a long drop veil that covered her face and could be flipped over. Sina looked handsome in his classic black suit and black tie. They both looked amazing together!
The couple met by complete mistake about 10 years ago when they ended up in the same university group. They have been inseparable ever since! They completed other degrees, and Sina worked hard to endure a specialization program in anesthesiology. Their wedding day was a long-awaited celebration of their love and journey together.
Katrina and Sina’s wedding planning team consisted of DJ Jesse from The DJ Co, Samina Mokamel for hair and makeup, and Isabelle Kiraly as the event planner. They did an amazing job of creating a seamless and beautiful wedding day.
Their wedding day was a beautiful and intimate celebration of their love. Their advice to other couples planning their wedding day is to keep it simple!
