Karan And Sunny’s Sikh Wedding
Karan’s hair and make-up artist arrived before the sun came up. Her bridesmaids were next to arrive and soon, the house was a hum of festive activity as everyone was busy preparing for the wedding. With sparkly high heels under glorious red and gold Indian dress and adorned with beautiful traditional jewelry, she was a vision to behold. Her henna applied the previous day was impeccable and intricate.
Sunny was getting dressed with his groomsmen on hand to help him get ready. He wore a gold and red outfit with accessories fit for a king. They were all in high spirits as they got ready for the Sikh wedding temple ceremony.
As a Toronto wedding videographer, we are always in awe of the elaborate outfits we shoot at every Indian wedding. They are always luxurious, vibrant and rich-looking and look fabulous in real life and on video.
Karan and Sunny saw each other at the house and we had time for a couple video shoot before going to the Gurdwara Sikh Sangat Brampton. The Sikh temple was decorated for the wedding ceremony with colorful draping, bright mats and pillows and musical instruments ready to be played. Soon the Brampton temple was filled with family and friends singing and dancing to celebrate the couple’s love story. The ceremony was joyful and symbolic as the couple was joined together in marriage, following many rituals according to the Sikh wedding religion.
The wedding reception venue was a lavish space with a stage just for the just-married couple and decorated tables for the guests. In the middle of the room there was a huge dance floor ready for the couple to arrive to perform their first dance. Amid a lot of applause and cheering, they finally arrived and danced, surrounded by a cloud of white dry ice. The couple had changed their outfits and were looking gorgeous. Karan was wearing an exquisite Indian dress and Sunny wore a smart suit with a white jacket. When they danced in each other’s arms, it looked like a scene from a real-life fairytale and was an impressive start to the wedding reception.
Everyone was checking out the trendy black and white wedding cake with a gold finish was surrounded by candy pops. It was a sweet treat for the guests after the main meal. There were many speeches and dancing, modern and traditional, throughout the night and Karan and Sunny looked blissfully happy. We were so pleased to be there for their big day and are sure they love their wedding video collection.
