We were happy to be hired to photography Parth and Rituja’s Indian wedding because we knew there would be lots of music, dancing and traditional rituals. As we expected, the Hindu wedding at the Embassy Grand Convention Centre in Brampton was a festive, high-energy celebration.
Parth’s family members helped him get ready and he looked like a real-life Indian prince in a deep red and gold traditional Indian wedding outfit. Meanwhile, Rituja had started preparing many hours earlier with elaborate hair and stunning make-up styling. She wore a red and gold lehenga with matching jewelry and shoes. The henna design that was done the day before was exquisitely detailed. What an absolutely beautiful bride Rituja was.
For the Indian barat, the handsome groom arrived on a decorated white horse and his friends and family lead the noisy procession to the wedding venue. The ceremony began with the groom. When it was time, the bride entered and the cultural ceremony continued with many blessings, prayers and rituals performed. It was a joyous ceremony and at the end, the couple walked around the fire to confirm their marriage under the bright mandap.
For the formal bridal portraits, we choose the beautiful Chinguacousy Park. It is a wonderful place for bridal portraits with wide-open spaces, scenic paths, water views and lots of shade.
Parth and Rita are such a sweet couple who are totally in love. It was a pleasure to photograph them every moment of the day. Not to mention their super fun bridal party who loved having their photos taken.
The wedding reception was elegant and sophisticated with draping, soft lighting and lots of candles to give a romantic ambiance to the room. Lavish cherry blossom florals were on every table, along with luxury linens. A stage for the couple had a beautiful backdrop of divine florals and candles glowing.
The wedding guests arrived and there were some family performances before the couple and bridal party made their grand entrance. The bride had changed into a feminine pink saree and the groom choose a smart burgundy suit.
Not to be outdone by everyone else, the couple gave an epic dance performance and then there was lots of high-energy dancing before dinner and speeches. Later the couple cut their impressive wedding cake that featured a very detailed icing design. In shades of pink it matched the color theme of the reception, and we heard it tasted as good as it looked. Everyone celebrated the couple and enjoyed the music, company and atmosphere for many hours.
We were blessed to be a part of Parth and Rituja’s beautiful wedding day and wish them 1,000 blessings and more.
