Lovely pink hues and soft muted tones were perfect for Sarah and Nolan’s wedding reception. We met the couple as they were getting ready at their home with their gorgeous little son. Lots of friends and family members were already there and looking forward to the celebrations.
Sarah’s dress featured a lace bodice and she wore natural make-up with her hair half up. Also, she went for comfort by wearing pretty pink flip flops under her dress. What a beautiful bride who was always smiling and looking graceful. Carrying a bouquet of pale pink and white flowers, she was ready for the first look.
We had already set Nolan up in a nice area of the garden and he had the biggest smile on his face before Sarah even arrived. He was wearing a light gray suit with a pink shirt and white buttonhole. Such a lovely moment as they saw each other in their wedding clothes. After some bridal portraits, we had time for family photos and lucky their little son was awake for the photos.
We were hired to document Sarah and Nolan’s wedding reception as they had their private ceremony a few days earlier. (Just in case you are wondering where the ceremony photos are). We are happy to offer partial coverage of wedding days if you require it.
The cocktail hour to welcome the guests and reception was at The Grand Olympia Hospitality and Convention Center. Your Hamilton wedding photographer is always happy to work at this venue, which is a beautiful place to host a wedding or event and the staff always give a high standard of service. While guests enjoyed drinks, we captured some more lovely couple wedding photography shots in the garden. The trees had draping branches and it was a scenic and whimsical place for some candid wedding photography.
The reception was decorated with an elegant and dreamy theme, including candles and soft lighting. The couple had prepared personalized bottles of wine for guests as wedding favors and made some other nice DIY wedding decorations that were rustic and sentimental. Draping from the ceiling made the whole room look elegant and sophisticated and the large dance floor was impressive.
The newlyweds made their grand entrance and wowed guests with a slow dance for their first dance. Then the MC announced the start of dinner with speeches being enjoyed throughout the meal.
After the delicious dining experience, the bride danced with her father, then everyone joined in for more dancing. They took a break to cut the cake later in the evening and more dancing followed as well as the garter and bouquet toss. Everyone had a brilliant time at Sarah and Nolan’s wedding reception and we were so delighted to be there too.
