Diego & Julia’s Magical Engagement Session at James Garden

There’s something magical about love and how the ones who are lucky to have it, wish to show it to the world! It’s the kind of love that doesn’t need grand gestures to be felt…it’s just seen.

And that’s exactly what Diego and Julia brought into their engagement session at the mystic James Garden.

It was so obvious to me!

It couldn’t be denied that they’re head over heels in love and that they can’t wait to be married—to build the life they envision for one another.

The day brought a sense of calm, the air was warm, and the garden seemed to hum softly around the two of them. Every corner that we walked through felt like it was made to hold their laughter, and their promises.

The session for them felt really natural actually, which is just so really precious to me. 

It was nothing forced; it was just… real moments between two people who have spent years growing together.

From the very beginning, Diego and Julia made it clear that their love story isn’t about extravagance. It’s about ease, warmth, and just being surrounded by the people and the memories that make them feel right at home.

When they arrived, the session started on the walk along the winding brick path, the kind that curves beneath the canopy of trees and always leads somewhere incredibly majestic and just…intimately and quietly beautiful. Every few steps, they’d pause to share a laugh, to look at one another, to just breathe in the moment.

The more pictures snapped, the less it felt like posing.

It was such a delight to see the two of them fit so beautifully with one another!

They moved so naturally, and they fell into these little conversations and smiles that said so much more than any direction I could give. The air was still, except for the faint rustle of leaves and the sound of their laughter.

We caught the light just as it began to dip much lower and it matched more to their vibe when the trees and clouds turned almost golden, and their voices carried across the open garden as they ran across the grass, twirled, and danced under the last bits of daylight, completely at ease and content with the company of one another.

They made me think of how the world is so beautiful in a way that… someone is truly out there for you. You don’t know it yet, but they are!

And it’s hard not to think about how naturally their story has unfolded!

They met on Tinder six years ago, and from the story itself, it was so natural that everything just instantly clicked. Diego proposed on a mountain in New Hampshire—a moment as grounded and adventurous as the two of them.

Watching them now, it’s so clear to me that they’ve built a love rooted in friendship and joy. 

Something that we all hope to achieve in our lives!

The connection they have spoke in glances and laughter, and every photo seemed to capture that unspoken language. I wish them a heartfelt and full wedding day and a lifetime where their laughter never fades, only grows deeper with time!
