Casey & Daniel | A Joyful Garden of Eden–Inspired Wedding at Hazelton Manor

Love will always test every span of time. It’s such a joy and a relief to know that in every place and every time—you can find love. The thought that even in the most unlikely times, there’s a chance to meet someone you’ll be spending the rest of your life with…is not just luck—it’s fate itself telling you that the search is over!

My heart thawed when I discovered that Daniel and Casey met through work and how they didn’t know it yet, but their bond would be tested and strengthened by the circumstances that the universe will bring.

Yeah, Covid and its lockdowns were one of the main opponents during those times, but these two just defeated it easily!

They’ve stood with each other during those times, and everyone panicked because of this newfound virus, but not them!

They’ve found love during the dark times.

Ever since then, the bond they had with one another grew and grew.

Years shaped by endless sacrifices for one another, declarations of love, fighting for one another, and being each other’s safe space.

So when Daniel proposed to Casey at the grandness and beauty of Elora Gorge Mill, right across the river—a place as timeless as their story—all the while the air whispered and promised love and forever, it only made sense that it was to be a BIG YES!

And now, they’ve decided to include everyone in that happiness and love.

And that was pretty much felt on the day of their wedding. It felt like such a family; you would just be there, and you’ll know that they’re celebrating it with you.

Through how busy preparations were, then right up to the night that everyone just danced till their feet ached, the day was everything I thought an Italian wedding would be—it was just really warm, it was really joyful, and it had the kind of love that you could feel at every corner of the room.

They held their wedding day at the Weston Road Pentecostal Church, and let me tell you, it just felt really intimate and very sacred. It was so beautiful because it was simple and elegant at the same time.

And there they were.

Daniel and Casey, as they were surrounded by those they love most, held hands together, looked into the eyes of one another, and said, “I do,” with a kiss shared after.

I CAN’T EVEN! Who wouldn’t shed a tear or two? Who wouldn’t want to wish that they had what they have?

Those two just looked amazing together, and you can’t even deny that. And it was such a delight to see that even more when their pictures were taken at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection with its really soft and radiant autumn light. Their pictures came most naturally, and you can feel the warmth that they exuded as pictures were taken of them and of the family and friends they chose to share their day with.

The celebration for their union carried on to Hazelton Manor, where once you entered, you will be greeted by the elegance of the colors white and green. Daniel and Casey had a real eye for what looks good for their day, and I just knew that not once did they drop the ball as they were planning it.

From the extravagance that’s the trail of flowers cascading along the head table and—I’m actually obsessed with this—the DIY collaboration between the newlyweds, which is the martini vases from Casey’s side and florals from Daniel’s, which carried a deep meaning itself because Daniel’s last name literally translates to “flower.”

How perfect is that?!

I love it SO much when you know that a couple looked forward to the day of their wedding so much that planning it isn’t just enough; they even put a personal touch on it.

It definitely adds such intimacy to the wedding that it just bleeds through to those that came. From the speeches that people laugh and cry at, you know just how much Daniel and Casey were loved.

I also felt… they are such the life of the party! It was so fun to get to witness everyone just bust a move there. It was electric; it was packed with people that truly felt like they were celebrating love and those that participated so well in it.

And if there’s one thing that I could sum up from Daniel and Casey’s wedding, it’s that love truly and will always conquer everything.

How beautiful is connecting with another soul?

From their meeting at work to standing hand in hand at the altar, they’ve shown me and those that love them that even in the hardest times, love always finds its way.

The day of their celebration was not just of their wedding and the marriage they’ll have, but of family, laughter, and faith in what’s meant to be.

I congratulate and wish all the best to Daniel and Casey and to the kind of love they have that stands the test of time. I hope that it grows stronger through every storm and blooms towards happiness always, and forevermore!
