It was a wedding day dreams are made of for Marie and Kelvin. They both were smiling all day long as they celebrated their love story with their best friends and family in Casa Loma Toronto.
Marie wore a fancy satin gown as she was getting ready with her girls. To say they were hyped would be an understatement. Getting ready is always a part of the day we love photographing. There is a joyous vibe in the air that is full of anticipation and excitement. Plus, all the detail shots of the jewelry, flowers, shoes and dress are fun to style and photograph.
The bride’s sheer lace designer dress was perfectly accessorized with jewelry by Pandora, a gloriously long veil and strappy heels. Don’t you love Marie’s colorful and bright bouquet of roses and orchids? Nearby the boys were getting ready too and Kelvin made a very smart groom in a striking blue suit.
Soon it was time for the highlight of the day. Marie was walked down the aisle by her parents. The church was packed with friends and loved ones who had been waiting for this special day for ages. Marie was very emotional by the time she reached her groom and had to take a few moments to compose herself.
What a heartfelt ceremony! As the lovely couple exchanged vows and rings, their friends and family were mesmerized. It was an emotional ceremony that was taken to a new level by the wonderful minister.
After the ceremony, the bridal party rode in a luxury limo to the downtown area for our photoshoot. Casa Loma is a castle in Toronto that every Toronto wedding photographer loves. Casa Loma interiors are regal and stately, with massive chandeliers hanging from the high ceilings. Antique furnishings and artwork fill every room.
The exterior is even more impressive with manicured gardens, European fountains and flowers in bloom against the castle’s backdrop. Those images of the newlyweds in each other’s arms as the veil blows in the wind and the castle in the background. Like I said – a wedding day dreams are made of!
We could have photographed Marie and Kelvin all day long at Casa Loma but some very special people were waiting to start the celebrations. And the wedding reception was in the Casa Lomo library. Round tables with white linens, personalized cookie wedding favors and flowers looked elegant with the chandeliers adding a soft ambient light. A violinist played as the bridal party entered and it was time for speeches, lovely speeches that made people laugh and cry.
The wedding cake was a five-tiered tower of sweetness with a cake topper with the couple’s wedding date and initials in calligraphy. Gold, white and purple layers decorated with pearls and rhinestones and intricately designed icing. It was beautiful.
The couple had one more moving moment to gift their guests with their romantic first dance. Together they showed off some classic and romantic dance moves. It was a wonderful evening and we wish the couple all the best for their life together.
