Highschool Sweethearts Kimberly And Ryan Get Married in Toronto
Kimberly and Ryan are high school sweethearts and styled their wedding in the same colors as their prom – royal blue and silver. What could be sweeter than that? They were only in grade 9 when they met and used to walk home from school together and when they got older, they started dating.
If that little story filled your heart with joy, wait until you hear the next part. For the proposal, Ryan took Kimberly back to their high school and popped the question next to their old lockers.
This rare and beautiful love story has many touching moments like this. You can only imagine how moving their wedding was. We advise tissues if you watch the highlights video.
Kimberly prepared for the church ceremony at home, surrounded by her family and her side of the bridal party. She looked lovely in a lacy bridal gown, long veil and crystal jewelry. There was a lot of signage and wedding decor on display and we especially like the Miss 2 Mrs clutch that was designed to look like a car number plate. Details – your photography and video team can’t get enough of them.
The groom donned a black tuxedo and looked very smart. After some cultural traditions outside, everyone was picked up by limo bound for the church.
Under an archway of blue and white flowers at the Malvern Christian Assembly the couple exchanged meaningful and loving vows and were joined in worship with their friends and family. They had a private communion and sand ceremony as well. It was very emotional and uplifting.
After the wedding ceremony we took family and group portraits before taking the bridal party away for photos and video. We captured some lovely candid wedding photos and video in the park.
The wedding reception was at the Baba Banquet Hall. It was decorated with a stage for the couple’s sweetheart table with blue and white draping, luxurious florals and soft lighting. A fantastic wedding cake was on display next to their table.
The couple danced their way into the reception, where they were warmed greeted by their guests. Everyone enjoyed seeing them do their first dance on a dreamy cloud of dry ice and then both danced with their parents. The speeches were sentimental and original with lots of fond memories and blessings included in every one. Your Toronto wedding photographer team enjoys documenting the speeches at dinner because you hear some interesting background on the couple. The speeches are always a highlight for the newlyweds.
Kimberly has some excellent advice for future brides.
“Enjoy the day! You are not in control; go with the flow and don’t let anything stress you out. Take mental pictures throughout the day. Take in every moment. Be present and think about what you are currently doing, not about what’s next.”
